If you had a dollar for every time, someone asked you about the things you like and use in various situations, that would be pretty cool, right?
Whatever it is, we humans tend to be curious. And, just about everyone loves the recommendation of a specific product they are interested in from someone who is already enjoying it.
That’s why this week, we want to talk to you about Kit.com. Kit.com is a community for recommending and finding the best products in various categories.
You can go to Kit.com and create a free account. You set it up with your picture, similar to other social platforms to create your profile.
Once you are in there, you can search for the items that you use and love and classify them into specific groups.
For example, if you love to cook, you can go in there and search for the items that you like to use. Then, when someone asks you what you are using, you can direct them to your Kit.com profile.
If you love photography, you can search and list the cameras and accessories you like to use.
So why are we telling you all of this?
If you saw our post last week about The Amazon Associates Affiliate program, this will make sense to you.
If you didn’t see that training yet, to view it, click here.
The cliff note summary of that post was that if you have a blog or YouTube Channel, you can get approved for The Amazon Associates Affiliate Program, which allows you to create your own unique affiliate links for the items on Amazon. When people click your affiliate links, and they purchase the product on Amazon, you will get paid as much as 10%, depending on the item.
Inside of your Kit account, you have the option to add your primary affiliate ID from your Amazon Associates Affiliate account so that when people click on anything you’ve listed in your Kit account, Amazon will pay you affiliate commissions! Cha-ching!
It’s good practice to make the URL for your Kit account similar to your other social media accounts, when possible.
Since Rick and I brand ourselves together as a couple, our Kit.com URL is Kit.com/RickandStephMoore. View it to see the example of how we are using it.
If you haven’t personally branded yourself yet, this can also be a great exercise to help you think about the direction of your branding strategy.
